कब वक्त मिला कुछ देर कहीं पर बैठ कभी यह सोच सकूँ,
जो किया, कहा, माना, उसमे क्या बुरा भला “
Hearing these famous words from Harivansh Rai Bachhan seems very true when I look back in time. Life has been a treadmill run which will never stop moving. I felt like a mouse that keeps running on a treadmill without getting tired or having a time to think about it. In this new world of fast cars and technology Life surely has changed. Even before finishing one thing I have started chasing other things in life.
Life 2.0 is all about fulfilling your dream, do whatever you want, work hard and party harder, take it easy and have a rock on time. But is this Life 2.0 really what I am looking for or is it just a mirage or an illusion.
Let’s talk about Life as described by William H। Davis in his poem “Leisure” when we mocks and question people about their new called Life 2.0.
No time to stand beneath the boughs,And stare as long as sheep and cows:
No time to see, when woods we pass,Where squirrels hide their nuts in grass:
No time to see, in broad daylight,Streams full of stars, like skies at night:
No time to turn at Beauty’s glance,And watch her feet, how they can dance:
No time to wait till her mouth canEnrich that smile her eyes began?
A poor life this if, full of care,We have no time to stand and stare.
I some how feel that Life as described by W. H. Davis is what everybody in this fast pace life is looking for. A little bit time after every day’s hard work for them where they are free of tension. A life which can remains untouched from the killing deadline, work pressure, loneliness and grueling life style of a city.
