Home Coming

A distant bell’s chime brings back old memories alive,
An old tree, A swing & images quickly flashes by.

Living in a City of dreams, where nights glitter brighter than day.
I feel caged glancing through the large windows of the Glass Palace.

Here dreams have towered, leaving the man on the top all alone.
Trying to run ahead of time, has left all his friends behind.

In the greed of a greener pastures on other side of the glowing bridge,
He walked untrodden path, leaving him with everybody unknown.

In the doldrums, my thoughts strays to the a place beyond horizon.
Where the grass is greener and crackling laughter travels distance.

A place where dreams were still colorful butterflies, to be chased.
Nights were a wonder and friends surrounded.

A place where bridge connected horizons,
where sunlight brightened up all the dark corners.

A place where the dawn mist glowed
where contentment river flowed endlessly.

A place where I am always drawn to,
It is the time to tell momma i am coming home.
