It has been 3 years since I have been see­ing this frenzy of Thanks­giv­ing Sale over here. Its has got a tad bit slug­gish or less antic­i­pated with this bad econ­omy, which now seemed to be get­ting back to its feet after some of the big com­pa­nies Blue suite big guys beat the hell out of it by mak­ing very bad deci­sions one after the another in their greed of dou­bling their prof­its quickly. It has been none the less a more like a fable for the CEO and CFO dur­ing this 21st cen­tury where in they saw a mete­oric rise in their bank bal­ance and sud­denly had to face the rude awak­en­ing when the econ­omy did a big bang. These blue suite big guys still made out of it this mess they never get into trouble.

Now where does this leave a guy like me — a mango(aam) pro­fes­sional. We the mid level mango pro­fes­sional are the one suf­fer­ing form the mis­takes of these blue suite guys.

We don’t get hike, pro­mo­tions were stopped till fur­ther notice. Some of us even got cuts in our salaries and some of us got sacked.

Under the name of cost cut­ting we are asked to work more. Some of us even needed to cover up for the  reg­u­lar hol­i­days by com­ing on week­end. Just that the com­pany can make more money out of us. More respon­si­bil­ity and work with in the same salary.

Not only are you put under pres­sure by your office and work. But also from other fac­tors like rise in prices of the daily neces­sity, your rent, your expenses, med­ical bill, loan amount and the list goes on. And on top of it the money you had put it aside to help you in your hay day are turned to ashes when you see the stock mar­ket crashed and if you thought you were wise by putting your hard earned money in the bank than you were wrong the Sub­prime mort­gage crises deba­cle didnt helped either.

For a mango pro­fes­sion every­thing was build like a card cas­tle which was wait­ing to fell apart when­ever some one at the top of the econ­omy chain cre­ated made mis­takes. With all these mis­takes foun­da­tion of the major econ­omy has weak­ened only for the Mango pro­fes­sional and not for the blue suite guy. He is still under the heaps of the eco­nomic rub­bles and debris.

Like any other nat­ural dis­as­ter the after­math leaves only the poor to tat­ters rich are always able rebuild them­selves back to their reign­ing glory. So now on the thanks giv­ing day where does it leave me back to where I was last year still try­ing to make amends and find out bar­gain deals. Happy Thanks­giv­ing guys!!!
